My top 3 favourite herbal teas ☕

IMG_3962

I have been sick recently, but I’m trying to keep posting and writing reviews. 💖

I don’t know about you, but I cannot go a day without my tea. Especially two of my favourite from Celestial Seasonings. I remember Celestial Seasonings being around when I was little and that’s something, because there are not a lot of shops selling Celestial Seasonings teas here in the Netherlands nowadays. Holland & Barrett is my to go shop at the moment to get my wonderful teas from.

I found out about the Tension Tamer tea from Celestial Seasonings about three years ago now. I really have been getting into herbal teas a lot more, because they can be really beneficial for your health. The first sip I took from the Tension Tamer flavour was horrible. I really hated the taste back then of herbal teas, but I really felt that it made a difference in how I was feeling overall. It has been soothing my anxiety for years and I’ve become to absolutely love the flavour of this tea now funnily enough! I usually drink a couple of cups a day of Tension Tamer a day and it makes my overloaded ADHD brain go slightly calmer and to me, this tea does wonders to my mood too.

This is what Celestial Seasonings says about this tea on their website:
This blend begins with eleuthero, an ancient herb believed to impart a sense of calm. We’ve added peppermint, ginger and lemongrass to create an uplifting and balanced tea.

Final thoughts on this tea:
I absolutely love this tea. I’ve always got at least one box of the Tension Tamer tea in my tea drawer so that I’m never running out of it. I really do drink this tea every day and I have been doing this for almost three years now. This tea is my to-go tension tamer and it does exactly what’s on the box!

I give this tea a 5 out of 5 paws and it’ll never leave my tea drawer.

A note to Celestial Seasonings: never discontinue this tea, please!
+ I wish there were more teas available in the Netherlands such as the Holiday edition teas!

The Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime teas are one of my favourite teas as well. I’ve only tried the Sleepytime, Sleepytime extra and the Sleepytime lemon jasmine, because those are the only ones available here in the Netherlands. They’ve never managed to fail my expectations and really put me in a relaxing mood, ready to go to bed!

This is what Celestial Seasonings says about this tea on their website:
This relaxing herbal tea starts with our time-honored Sleepytime® blend of chamomile, spearmint and other soothing herbs. We then add valerian, long trusted as a natural sleep aid, for an especially calming cup.*

Sleepytime is the original bedtime tea. More than 40 years ago, we created a truly soothing herbal tea to help folks wind down the day. Today, our calming Sleepytime blend of botanicals is available in herbal, decaf green and wellness teas, so you can always find the perfect cup for your bedtime routine

Final thoughts on this tea:

This is one tea, together with the Tension Tamer tea, that never – ever will leave my tea drawer. I always have at least one extra box on hand in my pantry, because I do drink these two teas every evening and I’ve done so for the past three years.

I wish there were more ‘flavours’ available in the Netherlands though!

I give this tea a 5 out of 5 paws!

OK, who doesn’t love this packaging?! I’ve walked past these Christmas Edition teas at Holland & Barrett for months and finally decided to purchase at least one of them when they were on offer (the full price lays around $7/€6). I decided to go with the Rooibos Candy Cane one, because I don’t like chocolate and this was the only one without a chocolatey flavour to it. The tub contains 50 tea bags which is really generous for tea. Most tea packages contain about 20 tea bags. This tea is so, so delicious. It screams autumn and cosy winters to me! It’s not horribly sweet at all, but has the slightest hint of peppermint and strawberry to it. I really hope they will make a comeback this year!

What I can find on the Rooibos Candy Cane tea online & on the tub:
Rooibos and Peppermint with delicate touches of Vanilla and Strawberry coupled with the mouthwatering aromas of Orange and Coconut will make you feel like a kid in a candy store. This is a charming infusion and perfect for Christmas.

Final thoughts on this tea:

My favourite autumn/winter tea at the moment when I don’t fancy a herbal tea. This just makes you want to cosy up on the couch with a blanket and watch Nightmare Before Christmas over and over again!

I give this tea a a 5 out of 5 paws!
