Hurraw! Moon Lip Balm

IMG_5883.jpgNo matter what season we’re in, my lips always seem to be like a permanent desert. I also bite my lips (too) often when I’m stressed or bored and that doesn’t help them getting smooth either. I’ve always been a lip balm girl and I’m so, so happy that I decided to try the Hurraw! Moon Lip Balm out when I was in need of a good lip balm that stays on my lips for more than just five minutes.

The Hurraw! Moon Lip Balm is the only lip balm I’ve so far tried that is the most richest and nourishing for my lips. I love lip balms that are on the ‘greasier’ side, so that I don’t have to re-apply them every five minutes. This lip balm saves my lips during the coldest winter days, stress-y days and summer. It’s a lip balm, or rather lip mask, that you can apply during the night before bed and you wake up with nourished lips ready to take on the day. I, on the other, hand use it everyday and all day long. I tried using other brands but most of them seem to dry out my lips even more. So far I’ve only been loving all Hurraw! balms lately and I always have at least 3 tubes of the moon lip balm in stock. I also love the earl grey and coconut balms from Hurraw!

What are the ingredients?

  • Avocado Oil: Thick, green, and vitamin rich. Exceptionally high in vitamins A & E. Recommended for sensitive and problematic lips.
  • Rosehip Seed Oil: Combats dry lips and has amazing rejuvenation properties.
  • Meadowfoam Seed Oil: Powerful moisturizing capability. Loves to adhere to lips making it a great assistant in preventing night time moisture loss.
  • Argan oil: “Liquid Gold” they say…we’d agree. Super restorative and moisturizing; perfect to use at night!

What are the claims?

A good night’s sleep can be the best thing ever.
We have been using our Moon Balm Formula for years and thought other lip balm lovers would dig using a Night Treatment Balm as well.

Extra thick, creamy and rich; this balm has some serious staying power. The Vanilla and Peru Balsam scent will lull you to sleep. Azulene packed Blue Chamomile lends a gorgeous green-blue color and soothes your lips for some true beauty z’s!

How does it look, feel and smell?

The lip balms are really creamy and pretty greasy. If you don’t like that, it’s best only to use them as a night mask type of balm. The balm smells absolutely amazing. Like vanilla cake or something.

Purchase info:

I buy mine from iHerb because they are a lot cheaper there than if I buy them online here in the Netherlands (they cost around 7 euro’s here). Also, if you buy two or three  you get 5% off. On iHerb they cost €3.73 a piece which sounds pretty expensive, I agree, but it is totally worth it! Plus, if you only use it at night like you’re supposed to, it will last you for a pretty long time.

Final thoughts:

If you have a cat (or any other ‘hairy’ family member) I can’t recommend kissing them after you’ve put your lip balm on, because the hairs will stick to your lips like you’ve put superglue on. Especially during the summer when they’re molting.. 😂

Besides the hairy bit, the Hurraw balms are my favourite and I keep repurchasing them over and over again. I cannot recommend the moon lip balm enough. It is definitely worth the price!

This balm gets a 5 out of 5! paws!
